That
Afternoon Mela was arrived to his apartment pretty lazy, he was tired because
of his job office and because the heat of the city. Buenos Aires is a mess in
January. The humidity makes that the people who didn´t go to vacation,
suffering as slaves. He took off his clothes and he lay down on the bed with no
intention to do something for a couple of hours. Before he got asleep his
cellphone rang, one, two, three, four times. It was his friend LaLo. -want 2 go
out? – Lalo asked to him. -Sure. Come to my place- Responded Mela.
They usually drank a couple of beer before
went out to the bars. The Mela´s apartment was a strategic stop every weekend.
After a few hours, Mela didn´t want to go out. Seeing his friend was little
down, Lalo proposed smoke some weed to motivation. Mela wasn´t a guy who say no
and that wouldn´t be the exception. The
relation between Mela And Lalo got strongest since a couple of years ago. One
of the reasons of this was that his best friend Tato went to work for three years
to New Zealand. When Tato was living in Buenos Aires, they always were fighting
and did what Tato wants. After smoked, both of them stay in silence like thirty
minutes, for them, was an eternity. Suddenly, Mela remembered that the new boy
at his job had given him a special gift. -To be immortal- the boy had said to
him.
-Lalo,
I have a special thing. Do you want to prove it?
-I’ve
never tasted, but I would like to prove it.
Mela
grabbed from his wallet a little white rock. He put it on a table in the
kitchen and with a scissors cut one of the sorbets that he had grabbed from a
box. He looked at Lalo with a wicked face. Mela started to see the little rock
like he was a painter and he would be on front of his master piece. Took his
credit card and started to punch against the table like the rock was a
cockroach and he would want to kill it. He made two lines with the cocaine. He
introduced the sorbet in his nose and got closer to the table, he took a deep
breathe and inhaled as strong as he can. With open eyes as eggs, Mela gave to
his partner the sorbet. This one prepared himself to imitate his friend but
when he got closer to the line, he breathed unconscious and the cocaine spreads
anywhere. Both of them got laugh.
Finally,
they went out to the street and decided to go to a tacos house. There people
looked at them as they were clowns or something like that. They didn´t notice that
the world spinning fastest for them at that moment. The tacos house was full so
they decided to wait for the food outside. When the food finally arrived, they
ate it like if they hadn´t eaten since many days.
Them
they went to a bar. The owners of this bar were the owners of the tacos house
too. -Such a big Monopoly – exclaimed LaLo and he started to mention all the
reasons because Argentina was a mess. Mela gave a shit about this. He used to
hear him and just responded him saying: -you love Buenos Aires and you would
never live in another city. And that was true, both of them knew the city as them
hand. There was nobody at the bar, except who worked there. They bought artisanal
beer and sat down. They realized that had passed six hours since went out of
the apartment. Lalo went to the bathroom and he saw himself at the mirror. What
he saw was awful. He saw a face pale. His eyes look so tired. Mela was at the
floor looking how the owner of the bar dancing with two Danish girls. They were
beautiful, with blonde hair and gorgeous eyes. One of them was too skinny and
the other one wasn´t. Them faces were like those east European girls, tall and so
much refined. The skinny one had a top and let see her stomach to the people. The
three guys were dancing as old people, jumping and clapping. Mela was excited
because of the skinny one and he can't stop looking her. None of the Danish
girls had a good ass. – There is no butt like the Argentinian girl ass - He exclaimed.
They got out to the street meanwhile the
security guy was closing the big red door of the bar. The owner had left the
place with the two Danish girl half an hour ago. Mela and Lalo said goodbye
like they never met before. They went back to them houses hoping and wishing
that the next time come soon.
